The arrangement of the Noble Qur'an came in an unknown manner, in that it was divided into parts, parties, and quarters that included surahs and verses with known arrangement and numbering.

Perhaps this method of classification was an inspiration for those who classified in the strange and meanings of the Qur'an, who could be considered the first seed in the lexical classification.

This study seeks to clarify the meaning of this term which is included in the classification: Qur'anic dictionaries, and clarify its concept and what is meant by it.

Then it reviews the origins and stages of authorship, the lexical classification and the reference of the Noble Qur'an through the ages.

It also shows the importance of Qur'anic dictionaries, the importance of classification in them, and the need for researchers of all kinds.

Then it clarifies the types of Quranic dictionaries, and the most famous works and dictionaries composed in each type.
