This study aims to demonstrate the extent of the industrial sector‘s contribution to the Malaysian economic growth during the period 1980-2019, highlighting the most important Malaysian industries, and the challenges facing the industrial sector in the Malaysian economy.

The researcher used the descriptive and analytical method, in addition to the quantitative method by building a multiple linear regression model.

The statistical program was used, and the study found an inverse relationship between the added value of the industrial sector and economic growth, as well as the existence of an inverse relationship between total national savings and economic growth, while both the export sector and foreign direct investment directly affect economic growth, the study concluded with the importance of The industrial sector for its effective role in raising economic growth in accordance with Malaysia's Vision 2020.
