Abstract EN

The study aims to assess unemployment in the Jordanian economy by determining the impact of certain economic variables such as GDP, the size of the labor force, net employment and population on the unemployment rate in 2007-2019.

In the analysis of the relationship, the researchers used descriptive and inference approaches to determine the nature of this relationship and its consequences for the Jordanian economy.

The analysis of the data collected and processed by the researchers led to a set of results, namely, a negative impact of the population on unemployment, with this result justified.

With limited net employment opportunities created, there has been a weak impact on unemployment and, as well, a trend between the labor force and the unemployment rate in light of population shifts and changing demographics in the period of population opportunity monitoring in the Jordanian economy.
