This research paper promotes tourism industry interested in achieving sustainability standards.

It aims mainly to support the challenge of converting energy consumption into a climate-friendly and environment friendly process using various sources of renewable energies.

In order to contribute in developing and promoting sustainable tourism through self-exploration of the field of energy tourism as a new specialist in the importance of renewable energies and their functions (energy tourism), knowledge marketing is considered a major issue in energy regions that have established institutions for technology research and knowledge exchange.

The study, relying on the German experience in the field, concluded that the exploitation of renewable energies areas in the tourism industry as tourist attractions is one of the most important solutions that may help to develop an attractive local and international image of the tourism destination, which allows achieving economic benefits either by increasing an influx of environmentally friendly tourists and their spending or by increasing employment rates, which in turn will increase the profitability of the tourism sector and enhance its sustainability, realizing sustainable development.
