Therefore, this study was conducted to carry out an analysis of the natural characteristics of the river basin, as it reflects the relationship between erosion and sedimentation processes and sediments and other terrestrial phenomena associated with it, as well as an analysis of hydro thermometric characteristics, as the morphometric characteristics are quantitative analytical methods of the basin Mainly based on data from the contour map and space visuals such as the Digital Height Model (DEM).

The database was dealt with using statistical methods tools in the geographic information systems program to arrive at the morphometric characteristics of the study area basin, through which the characteristics of the basin are surveyed, formal, and terrain, in addition to the drainage characteristics of the basin and then draw the water drainage network as a natural phenomenon of the river basin, which Through it, it is possible to find areas suitable for construction of dams for the purpose of water harvesting in the form of maps for the studied area.
