Abstract EN

There are a number of fish farms in Erbil governorate, distributed according to the natural and human geographic factors of it; therefore, the objectives of this research were to display the geographical distribution of fish farms in the study area and showing the impact of natural factors affecting this distribution.

Within the research, we conclude that (90.3%) of the total fish farms in the study area concentrated in the districts within the semi-mountainous region, and the natural factors represented by surface characteristics, temperature, soil, and water resources had an impact on this geographical distribution.
