Abstract EN

This study aims to achieve the following: knowing the forms of violence faced by children during their discipline, knowing the attitude of pioneers of Islamic thought, international laws and universal declarations of children rights towards violence against children during their discipline and providing the right alternative means to discipline children.

The study reached the following results: the use of a soft and kind method in disciplining children instead of using violence against them has good effect on the children.

Disciplining children with violence has a negative impact on the their mental and physical health and international laws, conventions and declarations have emphasised the criminalisation of the use of violence and cruelty against children in all circumstances
