Abstract EN
-Look Back in Anger (1955) is a play that John Osborne wrote after the Second World War .The play's main character, Jimmy Porter stands for the "Angry Young Men" a name given to a group of working-class and artists.
That anger was a symbol of the rebellion contradicting the social and political establishments of British culture of the time.

His quest is for a "real life" which he thinks that his class the “working class” prevents him to achieve.
His anger and aggression are addressed to the people around him.
So, psychoanalytic approach is on the focus to interpret the reasons behind his anger and aggression.
He finally sacrifices his child to be able to change the terrible reality he lives in.
