Abstract EN

The phenomenon of omission in the Akkadian language is a linguistic phenomenon that has caused many changes in both Akkadian consonant and vowel sounds of nouns and verbs due to the multiplicity of tribes and their different dialects, in addition to the age to which the text belongs.

The present paper studies how the internal and external factors that affected the language was reflected in its sounds, and caused a change in its pronunciation.

The results show that many sounds were replaced by other sounds, and other sounds have been completely deleted for the sake of reducing the muscular effort and mitigating the production of the sounds.
