The importance of studying the Islamic coins that struck during the era of the Ikhchidid state is that it went through two important phases, the first phase of olute subordination, meaning that the Ikhshidid coins were struck in the same shape and size as Abbasid coins and bore the name of the Abbasid caliph only without any mention of any of the Ikhshidid princes, while the second phase appeared a kind of The shift in the nature of striking Ikhshidid coins, so the name of the prince al-Ikhshidi was added in the beginning next to the name of the Abbasid caliph, then soon the name of the caliph was raised and they were satisfied with mentioning the name of the prince al-Ikhshidi.

Al-Ikhshidiyyah with texts, phrases, symbols and letters, which were written in some cases as political, economic or perhaps administrative references.

We have been keen to analyze all that was mentioned in the folds of these coins that were struck during the reign of the five princes and those who were contemporary with four of the successors of Banu al-Abbas from the year (323 AH-935 AD) until Year (358 AH-968 AD).
