Abstract EN

The research aims to show the most prominent of what Al-Zuhri wrote about India in the sixteenth century AH.

The research dealt with in the first topic, the biography of Al-Zuhri and its author, The Geography Book and its sources of information about India, and what is the method that he used in that.

In the second topic, the research concerned the descriptive geography of the countries of India, only mentioning the southeastern part of India represented by Serendip Island (presently Ceylon) and the islands and cities that follow.

In the descriptive geography of India, syphilis focused on its most important plants and medicinal weeds, neglecting to mention social life.

In the third topic, Al-Zuhri examined the Indian religious life of Serendip Island, where the generation upon which Adam, peace be upon him, landed, and the most important acts of worship there did not fail to mention the ways of torturing oneself, and how the Hindu pilgrimage to places of worship on that island.
