Emigration associated with the biographies of some ulama, and was influenced by the scientific life of most cities of the Islamic word.
The city of Mosul was one of the cities that witnessed this emigration which the research has focused on.
This study clarified the causes of Mosul ulama's emigration and their inhabitation in other neighboring or distant cities, and revealed how the city of Mosul became a repelling environment for some ulama of its residents for political or scientific reasons, or both and sometimes economic ones.
While some kings and city princes welcomed the ulama of this city for scientific abilities in teaching, judiciary and other general matters.
