In demonstrations and protests against the authority in the country, and as a result of the violation of many of the rights that were approved by the constitution after 2003, There have been many assaults that were justified by the authority as being beyond its control, and they are the actions of some individuals who do not belong to government agencies, And it is one of the actions of some infiltrators who want to distort the authority and its apparatus in front of public opinion, Which prompted the sheikhs and notables of the tribes to support the demonstrations and stand with the young demonstrators and support them in steadfastness in the demonstration squares, As is the case with setting up camps, providing them with food and drink, and claiming their rights in the event of any assault And respond to the government and its agencies in kind.

The participation of members of clans from all governorates of Iraq in the demonstrations contributed to supporting the demonstrations led by youth and members of the clans in various ways for the continuation and success of the demonstrations.

The problem of the study was represented by asking questions, the most important of which are: What is meant by the political demonstrations that have appeared recently in Iraqi society? What is the role of the clan in political demonstrations? Why did the clan take part in standing with the demonstrators in Tahrir Square? As for the importance of this research as it touches the reality of Iraqi society from the political point of view and the transformation of Iraq from a dictatorial regime to a democratic system.

Al-Bahat seeks a general goal: to clarify the political role of the clan in youth demonstrations in Tahrir Square in Baghdad.

The research used the descriptive method, And a number of study tools, such as observation and interview, and the researcher relied on informants' information, because he was unable to conduct interviews or distribute a questionnaire due to health conditions (Covid 19).

The research reached a set of results, including the following: 1.

The Iraqi popular demonstrations affected the reality of the political process in Iraq and brought about various political changes.2.

During the demonstrations, the Iraqi tribes expressed the Iraqi reality and the many economic, social and political conditions it faces.3.

The popular demonstrations contributed to the elimination of sectarianism and ethnicity because they were united by the various classes of the Iraqi people and expressed their demands and aspirations that were guaranteed by the constitution.
