Abstract EN

The objective of this paper is to uncover differences between German and Syrian students in relation to health behavior and attitudes toward health, and to analyze such differences when found.

A total of 300 students were given a questionnaire that was initially developed in Steptoe (1991).

The sample contained 201 females (67%) and 99 males (33%).

Both statistical inference and descriptive statistics were used.

The results of the analysis indicate that there are significant differences between German and Syrian students.

Some of these differences work to the favor of the Syrian students, and include the good habits of eating more fruits and getting enough hours of sleep.

Others go in the opposite direction, and include a failure to make regular visits to the doctor for checkups
