تحليل نتائج الدراسة الميدانية للانتخابات البرلمانية في محافظة كربلاء للدورتين (2014 و 2018)‎

Abstract EN

The research discusses the parliamentary elections of Karbala Governorate for the two sessions (2014 and 2018) as an important and modern study in geopolitics as well as an important tool for the arrival of figures representing this holy city under the parliament dome.

The research was based on the field study practiced by a questionnaire form directed to a sample of the governorate's community، amounting to (1000) respondents.

The questionnaire included (6) factors affecting the electoral process، which are (the social factor، the economic factor، the electoral factor، the geographical factor، the security factor، the political factor.

In addition to acquiring personal information of the voters، which contained (6) questions، namely (place of residence، gender، age groups، profession، educational attainment، marital status)، the research has shown that there is a great variation in the rate of electoral participation in Karbala governorate for the two electoral sessions، in addition to a defect in the distribution of the electoral centers; because the Electoral Commission did not adopt scientific methods in distributing them in terms of the numbers of registrants in each supply center.

The study also proved the validity of the hypothesis that the results of the parliamentary elections in the two electoral sessions (2014 and 2018) did not change the reality of Karbala Governorate and did not address the basic problems it suffers from.
