The research aim at shed light on Abdul Rahman Al-Baghdadi's journey to Brazil, as the spread of Islam in South America is an important topic for researchers and scholars, as well as identifying mutual relations.

The importance of research shows the importance of the information provided by Imam Abd al-Rahman al-Baghdadi, and his journey, entertaining the stranger in every wondrous matter, constitutes a message about sightings of a Baghdadi imam in Brazil in the name of Abd al-Rahman bin Abdullah al-Baghdadi.

The research showed that this trip represents an interesting dialogue of historical, geographical and social dimensions through the many cities and important ports that Al-Baghdadi described in his trip.

The research also confirmed that Al-Baghdadi's trip to the southern part of the American continent is an important historical source of information related to the history of the Ottoman Empire and the role of the Ottomans in Intellectual development of cultures.
