Abstract EN

Sultan Abdul Aziz took power in a critical period in the history of the Ottoman Empire, with the large debts and loans he inherited from his sultans' predecessors.

Despite this, he had significant and distinguished reforms in the fields of industry, education, organizing the army, establishing justice, and establishing a court of justice.

But this did not please the Europeans, and perhaps his brave position in his rejection of Western constitutions and everything related to their customs and traditions, so they worked to cause internal discord and external conspiracies to overthrow him and were able to remove him from the government and then kill him later.
