Criminal reconciliation is an effective alternative to criminal proceedings.

It is a procedure by which criminal proceedings, if actually instituted, are terminated, This system is therefore an exception to the general rule of the Criminal Code, namely the right of the State to punish, It has the right to protect society and to apply justice to any person contrary to the law.

Thus, one result is the termination of the criminal proceedings or the suspension of the execution of the sentence if it is reconciled after the judgement has been handed down.

The existence of such a system and the recognition of some regulations limit it to economic or public offencesIt is inherently different from the regime of criminal reconciliation in terms of its limbs and implications, so we tried to find these points in the course of our research.

In addition, the laws that have adopted the system of reconciliation have been promulgated.

A clarification of the mechanisms in place in the States that have adopted it, a statement of the Iraqi legislator's position on it, as well as a statement of the procedural implications of reconciliation, would result in a set of conclusions and recommendations
