Abstract EN

The present study casts light on the penal sanction of fine set forth in the Algerian law to fight against the corruption offences by giving basic outlines of the system of fine that is currently applied to the corruption offences laid down in the Algerian Law no.

06-01 of 20 February 2006 relative to prevention and fight against corruption.

The discussion of that penal sanction will come to the conclusion that the penal sanction of fine for corruption offences used in the Law no.

06-01 suffers from serious drawbacks mainly, the low value of fine imposed to the corruption offences by comparison with the high amount of the goods that flow from those offences, and therefore, this study will strongly urge the Algerian legislator for introducing reforms in the Law no.

06-01 that aim at raising the value of fine for the corruption offences.
