Abstract EN

It is well known that modernity has had a great impact on literary material in general, and poetic material in particular, but it is striking that the approaches that were made to modernity in its relevance to the Arabic poetic text did not address, even with a small amount, the effect of this on the poetry of the immigrants.

Although the western environment and its spatially and culturally coexistence calls for reflection on whether it manifested itself or infiltrated their poetry in one way or another.

This research raises an epistemological question about the possibility of presenting the sayings of modernity from certain aspects in the poetry of the immigrants, and accordingly the research included conceptual approaches to modernity and its dialectic among the most prominent philosophers whose theses were a new breakthrough in human thought and became an entry point for modernity in its intellectual foundations.

It referred to the writers who brought about a revolution in poetic saying and their texts were the starting point for poetic modernity, and also included the critics in their extensive discussion of the essence of modernity and its main issues, which was reflected in the illumination of the hidden aspects of it, which could be used in revealing the foundations of modernity among the emigrants, from the intellectual aspect of their texts, with the different technical aspects that could belong to the modernist category.

The focus was on two poets belonging to two different migratory environments in the North and the South, as well as their different poetic orientations.

The focus was on two poets belonging to two different migratory environments in the north and south, as well as their different poetic orientations, namely, Elijah Abu Madi and the village poet Rashid Salim al-Khoury.
