Abstract EN

Lexicon represents a central element within the sciences of the Arabic language, due to its fundamental importance in preserving the Arabic language and keeping pace with its development over time and space.

Due to the vitality of the Arabic language and its openness to languages, the lexical movement has known continuity and development according to what is required to keep pace with the dynamics of the language.

Several proposals have appeared to develop the dictionary in terms of theoretical and application, Some of them are devoted to a book, and some of its ideas is scattered in different books .

This study seeks to dig into the works of the scholar Mohamed Benchrifa in search of features and foundations for building an Arabic lexicon at the level of theory and practice.
