Abstract EN

Foreign direct investment acquires a lot of importance within the international financing structure for many countries of the world, if it becomes among the most prominent priorities that most countries seek, specifically those facing an acute shortage of domestic savings and the necessary need for investment to support and revive the economy.

This interest comes after many countries showed the importance of foreign investment and its vital role in the experiences of economic growth, which prompted many governments of countries, including Jordan, to introduce many amendments to investment laws, with the aim of creating an appropriate investment climate to attract foreign investment inflows to match the requirements of the stage.

In 1989, Jordan went through several stages of economic reform aimed at stabilizing the economy and managing the transition from a model over which the state controls its grip to another leading the private export sector.

The research aims to know the impact of foreign investment on commodity exports to Jordan for the period 1990-2018, and for the purpose of reaching the goal and confirming the research hypothesis, a descriptive and standard method has been relied on to analyze the relationship between the two variables using the joint integration methodology ARDL and through the statistical program EVIEWS10 to produce conclusions, including that foreign investment It has a positive effect, but with not high percentages, in commodity exports due to the ence of diversification of the required production base.
