Abstract EN

The young juvenile category is considered part of the vulnerable groups of society.

It has its rights and best interest that should be taken into consideration.

The objective of this study is to question and evaluate the role of the Jordanian Law No.

35 of 2014 on Juveniles to assess the availability of the juvenile’s best interest in front of the court.

This is manifested in two demands: 1.

The first demand shows how the court offers guarantees and protection of the juvenile offenders and it tests if the legislator has put into account their best interest.

2.

The second demand tests if the court proceedings and penalties fit the juvenile's best interest.

I am going to study these demands by referring to the texts of Law that belong to the Jordanian juvenile Law.

The result that I can conclude with in this study is that the Jordanian Law No.

35 of 2014 on Juveniles has multiple decisions towards the differentissues.

It sometimes goes hand in hand with the juvenile's best interest and in other times, it does not.
