استخدام التحليل العاملي لدراسة التباين الاجتماعي و الاقتصادي بين الأحياء في مدينة عمان

Abstract EN

The study aimed at analyzing the variation in the economic and social characteristics of population in Amman city at the neighborhoods' level, according to the population and housing data based on the population census of 2015.

The study also seeks to compare the characteristics of the economic and social ecology of Amman city based on the population census data of 1979 and 2015.

To achieve this aim, (38) variables representing the demographic, social and economic characteristics of the population in Amman city were used at the neighborhood's level of the (169) neighborhoods of the city.

The study used the Rotated Principal Component Analysis of Factor Analysis method using SPSS program, to define the main factors that explain the spatial variance in the characteristics of the economic and social ecology of Amman city.

The results showed that there are two factors that explain about (85.62%) of the variance in the data matrix.

The first factor was the social and demographic factor and Explained (56,8%) of the total variance in the data matrix.

The second was the economic factor and Explained (28, 7%) of the total variance in the data matrix.
