Abstract EN

This research deals with the style of narration in the novel “Black and White”.

This study seeks to address the narrator in the proposed novel, the topic of the study and its form through the segmentation of the critic „Wayne Booth‟.

This segmentation will be done through the narrator‟s range of participation and presence in the text and through his connection to what is being narrated and will follow him through the narrative forms used to reveal him in the text.

Other perceptions of criticism are taken into consideration due to the fact that these perceptions contain -in one way or another- the wish which is sought in the critiquing process to reveal the narrator in his form and location.

Through theatrical narrative techniques, the narrator concentrated on her own personal cause which represents her self- fragmentation in an internal and emotional conflict.

This conflict is connected to a more general issue in its emotional and comprehensive nature which makes the level of narration self- contained but at the same time it varies aesthetically due to its link to a sentimental value.

This has given the narration process and the narrator‟s theatrical knowledge a special touch.

The “ego” and its control over the narration process was an orchestrated narration linked to the characters movements which made the internal spiritual dialogue a prominent feature in the formation of the narrative for it was characterized as a revelation which is born through self- dialogue, internal dialogue and in dialogue with others.
