Abstract EN

This research studies the issue of how the Arabic Syntax was influenced by the Greek thought in four linguistics works by the Malaysian researcher Saliḥ a Yaʿ qoub.

This issue has been targeted by some Orientalists.

They aimed to tarnish the image of Islamic sciences (including Arabic sciences) of any trace of creativity and originality, only because these sciences were developed in the context of the Holy Qurʾ an.

They also aimed to tarnish the image of the Qurʾ anic holiness and to raise skepticism in its unimitatability in order to prove that it was composed by Mohammed-peace be upon him and that it imitated previous works.

That is why this research aimed to focus on the creative side of the process of influencing and being influenced by the "possessing" phenomenon which avails a broader side in the language's specificity and its relations within its different parts, and it aids the researchers and linguists from the framework of pretence and accusation to “possessing”, then creativity and production in the context of each language which matches with the culture and civilization of its native users.
