English Abstract
International investments have increased in Jordan.
This situation raised issues of public interest.
To what extent do some investors engage in "insider trading" and make profits unavailable to others? and given the threat of insider dealing with market integrity and investor confidence.
Therefore, the study explores and assesses the policy of prohibiting insider dealing and market manipulation in Jordan.
In particular, it looks at why the prohibition was first created.
The study adopts a comparative and analytical methodology, taking into consideration both the Jordanian and the British prohibition regimes.
In order to fairly and appropriately evaluate the Jordanian regime, it was viewed from the outside and in a larger context by using the comparison method.
This comparative approach focuses on the clarity of the legal prohibition in Jordan and the United Kingdom, and the effectiveness of the applicable law.
The results of this study came in the form of proposals to develop and strengthen the Jordanian prohibition regime.
