شهدت الكنيسة الدوناتية منذ انفصالها عن الكنيسة الرسمية (الكاثوليكية) عدة مراسيم اضطهادية، و هذا بدء من عهد الإمبراطور قسطنطينوس، بهدف إرجاع الوحدة الدينية في المنطقة، و لو اقتضى الأمر استعمال القوة ضد أتباعها.
و رغم أن العديد من الأباطرة حاولوا القضاء على الحركة الدوناتية، إلا أن مساعيهم باءت بالفشل بعد المقاومة المستميتة التي لقيتها من طرفها، خصوصا في نهاية القرن الرابع للميلاد، و أصبحت تشكل خطورة على تواجد الاحتلال الروماني في المنطقة، و هو ما جعل الإمبراطور هونوريوس يسن مراسيم اضطهادية عنيفة و ذات فعالية أكثر مما سبق للقضاء على الدوناتية.
و عليه تهدف هذه الدراسة -باعتمادنا على المنهج التاريخي الوصفي و التحليلي المقارن- إلى رصد وضع الحركة الدوناتية قبل الإمبراطور هونوريوس، و تبيان مضمون و أهمية الإجراءات التي اتخذها هذا الأخير للقضاء عليها مقارنة مع إجراءات الأباطرة السابقين، التي لم يكن بوسعها أن تضع حدا لتطورها و تهديدها لمدة تزيد عن القرن.
Abstract EN
the Donatist church has witnessed several oppressive decrees, this starts from the reign of Emperor Constantine, with aim of restoring religious unity in the region, and if necessary, using force against the followers of the Donatist Church.
Despite the attempts of many emperors to eliminate the Donatist schism, their efforts failed, after the staunch resistance on the part of the Donatist, since the end of the fourth century AD.
Because of this, Emperor Honorius enacted more violent and effective persecution decrees to eliminate them.
Accordingly, this study aims to show the situation of Donatism, and the importance and content of the measures taken by Honorius to eliminate them.
