The African continent was subjected to the phenomenon of modern European colonialism after the success of the industrial revolution at the beginning of the nineteenth century, which imposed a search for consumer markets and primary agricultural and mineral valleys, as well as the investment of accumulated capital in banks, so the attention was directed towards the African continent, which is geographically close to the vast markets and rich in wealth.

To achieve this, the colonial powers used the giant investment companies, the church, its missionary missions, travelers, and explorers in order to achieve and make the colonial phenomenon successful and sustainable.
