Abstract EN

The study aimed to describe the archival procedures that surround the archival information system (AIS) in the General Directorate of the National Corporation Sonatrach and present the transition conditions from the traditional archiving system to the electronic archiving system, based on interview and observation methods to the AIS in the General Directorate of Sonatrach, which included visiting three locals for archival documents conservation and three Interviews for AIS managers.

The results of the study concluded that the organizational factors have a significant impact on the deficiency of the AIS, in addition the condition that surrounded the partial transition towards an electronic archiving system were not accompanied by a transition in the procedural aspect of the management of electronic documents between the structures.

To ensure more effectiveness of this transition it was presented to the General Directorate of Sonatrach a set of proposals according to the results.
