More than thirty years after the decided transition to the market economy, the Algerian economy is essentially based on natural resources, it has not changed its basket of exports for decades, thus remaining a single exporter of raw materials and does not have a dynamic industrial fabric, like many countries in the region.
This vulnerability has therefore imposed a return to the question of diversification in the current economic debate.
It is in this context that we are trying to reflect on economic diversification in Algeria by attempting to propose an economic diversification policy inspired by international experience through a series of measures including the diversification of exports and industry.
constituting the major key to a good structural transformation which aims to stimulate production capacity and ensure sustainable economic growth.

Plus de trente ans après la transition décidée vers l'économie de marché, l'économie algérienne est essentiellement fondée sur les ressources naturelles, elle n'a pas évolué son panier d'exportations depuis des décennies demeurant ainsi mono exportatrice des matières premières et ne possède pas un tissu industriel dynamique, à l'instar de beaucoup de pays dans la région.
Cette vulnérabilité a donc imposé le retour sur la question de la diversification dans le débat économique actuel.
C'est dans ce contexte, que nous essayons de mener une réflexion sur la diversification économique en Algérie en tentant de proposer une politique de diversification économique inspirée de l'expérience internationale par une série de mesures dont la diversification des exportations et de l'industrie constituant la clé majeure d'une bonne transformation structurelle qui ont pour but de stimuler la capacité de production et d'assurer une croissance économique durable.
