Arabic Abstract

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على محددات الخيارات الغذائية و بيان أثرها على الأمن الغذائي للمستهلكين في جنوب الأردن، حيث قامت الدراسة بعمل إستبانة مكونة من ثلاثة محاور، كان المحور الأول بعنوان محددات الخيارات الغذائية و المحور الثاني بعنوان النمط الغذائي، أما المحور الثالث فقد كان بعنوان الأمن الغذائي، و من ثم تم توزيع الإستبانة على أفراد العينة بعد عرضها على عدد من المحكمين ذوي الخبرة و بعد التحقق من صدقها وثباتها، بلغ عدد أفراد العينة ( 382 ) فردا، حيث تم اختيارهم من مختلف محافظات الجنوب في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية تبعا لعدد من المتغيرات والخصائص شملت العمر النوع والمستوى التعليمي و دخل الأسرة، و الحالة الاجتماعية، و توصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج كان من أهمها أن اختيار الغذاء يتم بناء على ما هو صحي و ذو فائدة و متوازن، كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أنه يوجد أثر ذو دلالة إحصائية لمحددات الخيارات الغذائية على الأمن الغذائي للمستهلكين في جنوب الأردن، كما أنه هناك أثر نو دلالة إحصائية للنمط الغذائي أيضا على الأمن الغذائي، إضافة إلى ذلك فقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المتوسطات الحسابية لتقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة على عامل ( محددات الخيارات الغذائية ) تعزى لمتغير ( المستوى التعليمي، العمر، الجنس، الدخل الشهري ).

و توصلت الدراسة أيضا إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المتوسطات الحسابية لتقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة على عامل الأمن الغذائي ) تعزى لمتغير ( المستوى التعليمي، الجس، العمل، الدخل الشهري )، كما أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المتوسطات الحسابية التقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة على عامل الأمن الغذائي ) تعزى لمتغير ( العمر ).

أوصت الدراسة بضرورة الاهتمام بمحددات الخيارات الغذائية والنمط الغذائي و أخذهما بعين الاعتبار عدد صياعة السياسات المتعلقة بالأمن الغذائي و المخزون الاستراتيجي من الغذاء و تنفيذ مشاريع الأمن الغذائي لما لهذين العاملين من أثر مباشر على الأمن الغذائي في جنوب الأردن.

English Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the determinants of food selection and their impact on food security for consumers in southern Jordan, where the researcher has done through this study a questionnaire consisting of three sections, the first section was titled the determinants of food selection, the second section was titled the food style and the third section was titled the food security.

The questionnaire was distributed to the respondents of the sample after presenting it to a number of experts and after verifying its reliability and consistency.

The sample of the study consisted of (382) respondents, they were chosen from all the southern governorates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan according to a number of variables and characteristics that included age, gender, educational level, family income and marital status.

The study reached to a set of results, one of the most important is that food is chosen based on what is beneficial and also what is healthy and balanced.

The results also indicated that there is a statistically significant effect of the determinants of food selection on food security in Jordan.

The results of the study also showed that there is a statistically significant effect of food style on food security.

The study also found that there are no statistically significant differences between the arithmetic mean of the estimates of the study sample respondents on the factor (determinants of food selection) due to the variable (Educational level, age, gender, monthly income).

There are no statistically significant differences between the arithmetic mean of the estimates of the respondents of the study sample on the (food security) factor due to the variable (educational level, gender, work, monthly income).

It was also found that there are statistically significant differences between the arithmetic mean of the estimates of the respondents of the study sample on the factor (food security) due to the variable (age).

The study recommended the necessity of giving concern to the determinants of food selection and the food style and taking them into consideration when formulating policies related to food security and strategic food inventories and implementing food security projects because these two factors have a direct impact on food security in southern Jordan.
