Abstract EN

The study aims at revealing the social representations adopted by Algerian university youth about the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) by exploring their social thoughts' content and unveiling their new values throughout the virus outbreak.

To achieve these objectives, the study relied on the descriptive approach step sand the application of the hierarchical evocationel ectronically to an online cross-sample of 52 young university participants distributed across Algeria.

The results of the study showed that the Coronavirus pandemic became one of the phenomena that is affected by the structure of social culture and that carries different social representations by individuals with many psychological, social, behavioral, legal and economic dimensions.

The results also showed the emergence of a set of new values in the content of young people perceptions about the Coronavirus pandemic, the most prominent of which are cognitive values and behavioral values.
