Abstract EN

The issue of the ego and the other is the obsession that caught my attention due to my interest in identity discourses, and therefore I wanted to present in my research paper a reading of some of the texts of Naguib Al-Kilani, the doctor who witnessed in his texts an era that Egyptian society went through.

By explaining the formation of the other in the Arab imaginary, then I moved to the opposite dualities that characterized the narrative discourse, then the study headed to talk about the dominance of the imaginary over the historical discourse, and I took thematic as an appropriate approach to follow through which the main theme in the narrative, and this and I see only any I stand the position of the questioner, not the respondent
