The article aims to study and analyze personality patterns in the very short story through a group: "distances" for the Jordanian storyteller: "Samir Ahmed Sharif" because it contains several types assigned to it and different functions, has influenced the space of the texts of the anecdotal group and moved the events of the imaginary narration to lead the story directly towards the end, so we wanted to search for these patterns and analyze them, including the active, helpful, obstructive, complementary character…etc.

Through the foregoing, we present a number of the following problems, "what are the forms of personalities that were manifested in the group: "distances" for the storyteller "Samir Ahmed Sharif", and what are the most important functions that these characters embodied? -
