The Allusions and References to Quranic text have always been a source of aesthtic inspiration for poets in their creative work.

This has helped to make their poetic work more acceptable in mainstream literature and for the audience at large.

Abu temmam‘s minor Fervor , also known as the al‘ wah-chiyat, stands out as an example in which thise acceptability is manifested.

The Poet selected quotes and pieces of language which directly allude to the Quranic text , suggeting the existence of an aesthetic criterion on the basis of the quran.

the aim of this study is , therefore , to trace and reveal different forms of intertextuality between the quran and Abu temmam‘s book al‘ wah-chiyat as well as to determine the aesthetic elements of the book which may stem from this intertextuality.
