This study reviews the reality of marginalized self in the liminal spaces from the perspective of post-colonial studies as a field of knowledge concerned with the emotional and cultural states of these self vis-a-vis the other.

it is the study that found in the novel “under the Copenhagen sky” by Hawra al-Nadawi as a narrative model expressing this cultural issue.

and its civilizational repercussions on the expatriate self, this novel presents the nature of the intercultural reality and the challenges faced by marginalized self in the host western society with its different cultural contents and exclusionary practices, which reinforced the civilizational gap in the consciousness of these selves and impeded their cultural communication with the other, and made them seek to create their own inter-world makes it coexist culturally with its new cultural reality.
