This article aims to reveal the features of the biography in the novel “Ibn al-Faqir” by the Algerian novelist Mouloud and the extent of the correspondence between the author and the narrator and also the main character, including either explicitly or implicitly way in accordance to what is known by (Philip Lejeune), 'the autobiographical pacte' .

it also aspires to reveal the possibility of moving from self-writing to writing about the other, where the writer invests in his own autobiography to address aspects of the lives of his family members, neighbors and friends, as well as the customs and traditions that characterize his society.
