Abstract EN

Population density is a natural result of the relationship between population size and the area, and it explains to what extent the size increases or decreases depending on the area of the region.

This study depended on many density scales, (general, agricultural, physiological and rural densities).

In addition, the study used the homogenization index to figure out the degree of variation and the differences in density between the different regions of Lattakia.

The study shows that the distribution of population density is closer to homogeneity, equality, low general density difference and convergence of levels over time as a result of population increase.

It also shows that the rates of agricultural, physiological, and rural density in the regions of Lattakia are correlated with the increase or decrease of the number of workers in agriculture.
