Human language is a system that brings together the development, acquisition, maintenance and use of complex communication systems, and also refers to the human capacity to enable these processes.
A language is a specific example of such a communication system (for example, the French language).
Thought, Plato already said, is a "dialogue of the soul with itself".
According to Descartes, only language (in the form of articulated words or any other equivalent sign system) is capable of formulating ideas and communicating them to others.
The reason for this privileged link between thought and language is exposed by other philosophers (Thomas Hobbes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, or more recently Jules Gilliéron): language is not simply the expression of thought; it is its starting point and its instrument.
In this article we present an analysis and an interpretation of the studies and theories of the majority of the philosophers, psychologists and linguists, who share the idea that the language being proper to the man, it is him which gives access to the thought.

Le langage humain est un système qui regroupe le développement, l'acquisition, l'entretien et l'utilisation de systèmes complexes de communication, et désigne aussi la capacité humaine permettant ces processus.
Une langue est un exemple spécifique d'un tel système de communication (par exemple, la langue française).
La pensée, disait déjà Platon, est un « dialogue de l'âme avec elle-même ».
Selon Descartes, seul le langage (sous la forme de paroles articulées ou de tout autre système de signes équivalent) est capable de formuler des idées et de les communiquer à d'autres.
La raison de ce lien privilégié entre pensée et langage est exposée par d'autres philosophes (Thomas Hobbes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, ou plus récemment Jules Gilliéron): le langage n'est pas simplement l'expression de la pensée; il en est le point de départ et l'instrument.
Dans cet article nous présentons une analyse et une interprétation des études et des théories de La plupart des philosophes, psychologues et linguistes, qui partagent l'idée que le langage étant le propre de l'homme, c'est lui qui donne accès à la pensée, sans langage, il n'y aurait pas de pensée construite.
