This study aims to shed light on Paul Ricœur's reading of the hermeneutic mistrust which has Destruction the philosophy of self-stemmingFrom the Cartesian cogito, which led to the broken cogito, prompting Ricœur to establish the hermeneutical Cogito in the context of his philosophical anthropological project.

Among the conclusions drawn: that the term self is no longer confined to the ego but rather broadened to include all pronouns: I, you, he, she…ect.
