This research discusses the issue of interactions among civilizations in terms of its connection to the identity, because many aspects of tackling this dialogue attribute its failure to the identities and their self-reliance.

At the same time, they consider the most important results of modernism can be reduced to vitally assert the identity of all human beings.

So, it would be desirable to leave the cultural identities to depend on the constitutional one which paves the way to coexistence within the modern state.

But the identities based on cultural interactions are delusional, fatal, and impede coexistence.

This paper proceeds from the hypothesis that understanding identities from within - whether in terms of their structure or composition - is a necessary stage for examining the possibilities of convergence between them.

From this perspective, understanding the structure of Western identity and how it is formed is one of the main pillars in establishing constructive communication in which it is a party Therefore, we have the right to ask: To what extent can we talk about a single Western identity? Is the West one to search for the roots of its identity? What are the most important components of this identity so that we can distinguish it from other identities? What are the possibilities of convergence that the West has for constructive encounter? These are some of the questions we bring to this study, trying to present some approaches to them, according to a historical-analytical approach.
