The manifestations of the emergence of a commercial organization at the international level were looming on the horizon, despite the importance of the GATT with all its rounds and agreements that it contained, but it failed in some important aspects, and these failures represented the main motives for the establishment of the World Trade Organization, and as far as Iraq is concerned, it is within the stages of transformation.

The progressive nature that Iraq is witnessing in its political and economic philosophy has had attempts to integrate into the global economy by strengthening ties and relations with countries and international organizations that would qualify it for that, especially the World Trade Organization, so Iraq had the desire to join after 2003 to get out of its economic isolation that It has suffered from it for many decades, which made it far from the economic and technological development that the world is witnessing, and it is evident that this accession carries with it both positive and negative effects.

Therefore, Iraq, while going through this experience, should maximize the positives and reduce the negatives and speed by completing the requirements for joining.
