There is no doubt that the various transformations that accompanied the outbreak of the Corona Virus pandemic, and the changes that occurred in economic, political and even social relations, have greatly affected artistic, literary and sports activities as a result of imposing a health reality of social distancing and commitment to prevention and safety measures, This is what led creative artists, writers, and even various companies to devote themselves to contemplation, analysis and production to combat the traumatic impact of the pandemic.

Therefore, ideas and proposals accelerated to develop plans and solutions to alleviate the psychological crisis.

Among the most important of these was the emergence of medical masks, their production, and their design in shapes, which became one of the activities that distinguished individuals, their creators, and even fashion houses and other companies and factories.

Accordingly, the current research came to shed light on the duality that is related to the designs of medical masks from its functional and aesthetic sides, and with the technical treatments used to show their different formal formulas with a contemporary design vision, and the research may consist four chapters.

The 1st its temporal, spatial, and objective limits as well as defining the terminology contained in it, and then the 2nd chapter, whose theoretical framework consisted of three topics: (functional dimensions in design) and (aesthetic dimensions in design) and (description of functional and aesthetic dualism in medical masks design), while the 3rd chapter concerned with the research procedures, which included the research community consisting of selected models for designs around the world, and (3) designs were intentionally chosen that represented the research sample, and they were analyzed according to the descriptive analytical approach, and the 4th chapter included the most important results and conclusions the research concluded.
