Abstract EN

The issue of Texas and the desire of the United States of America to impose control over it and then annex it to the American Union constituted one of the important turning points in American history, as this has positive and negative repercussions on various levels, whether for the United States of America itself, or for the Texas residents who preferred to give up Their right to become an independent republic in exchange for their obtaining the right to join the American Union, along with the impact this has had on the countries of the region and even the world at some point.

For the purpose of understanding the historical and demographic correlation between the population of the United States of America and the population of Texas, which was the main factor in the desire to join the American Union, we will be exposed in this study to the nature of Anglo-American immigration to Texas (1784-1835), especially after the period that followed the arrival of Europeans to it, and how Their presence contributed to increasing the interest of the United States in this region, by providing various types of support to immigrants in order to create a population, cultural and religious base that differed from the rest of Mexico, and it relied on them to demand their inclusion in the American Federation later.
