The written and printed fictional heritage in a culture constitutes the most important repository of knowledge.

Historical research shares an interest in collecting narrative testimonies and examining written texts, which are two important pivots in historical studies.

Therefore, the interest in fictional characters, in both history and the science of men, since the early centuries of the Islamic civilization took a remarkable interest in it, in which large encyclopedias were written that are still of interest to historians who considered it a basis for understanding the textual content at its various stages; But discussions often reveal a mutual lack of understanding between historians and male scholars.

In many of the issues that place the narrator in one side or the other according to the contexts followed by the two sides according to the criteria they apply in his research work, despite the fact that many historians have studied men professionally, which put them in constant contact with the characters who codified the vocabulary of history.
