Abstract EN

This research attempts to analyze the cognitive linguistic thought of recent linguists who were concerned with the theorizing the cognitive linguistics which is based on mental abilities and representations considered as principles for understanding language.

We have selected two authors: whose works were focused on the concepts, principles and application of cognitive linguistics Abderehman Taama and Mohieddine Mohcib, in order to identify their contributions in defining this field's principles and tendencies and to assess to what extent they succeeded in setting an Arabic cognitive linguistic school.
