Abstract EN

Divorce is considered one of the biggest and most dangerous social problems.

Although it is permitted and approved in the Islamic system، it is not the origin and marriage is.

Divorce and separation are legalized to treat cases of problems and argument with which marriage cannot pursue or else it will lead to more serious and critical problems bigger than divorce itself.

Cases of divorces، according to recent formal reports، have noticeably and horribly increased in society، especially the Iraqi society.

Family problems that end with separation and divorce cause family distraction، society ripping and breaking its bonds.

Divorce results in huge and devastating negative effects on couples، children، and society in general.

Moreover، it is a disliked and hateful matter in Islam.

In this research، we showed the gravity of divorce and its reasons، effects، treatment and ways of prevention.

We also invited the educational، media، religious and governmental institutions and the civil society organizations to study this phenomenon of and cast light on it and its consequences and find solutions and suitable suggestion to decrease it.

We also offered solutions، suggestions and recommendations at the end of this research.ُ
