Abstract EN

In this article, the concept of Friday prayer with regard to the issue of political and social identities, based on the integrity of the verses of Surah al- Jumu'ah, is divided into two parts: the integrity of the verses of this surah with each other, and with the preceding and later Surah’s (Surahs Saff and Munafiqun).

Performing a structural analysis on the integrity of the verses of Surah al-jumu’ah, the political and social capacities of the Friday prayer concept in its Qur'anic interpretation are discussed as the root of many later concepts throughout the history of Islamic culture.

In this article, the views of some Qur'anic sciences experts have been briefly reported and, finally the author’s interpretation of them will be offered in detail.

The main question of the article is how the dynamics of Islamic concepts and their different social functions are rooted in the structure of the Qur’anic verses and narration of those concepts.
