This study has investigated the adjectival phrase in terms of pursuing and its characteristics, the objectives of this study are as follows: highlighting the meaning of parsing, to find out the characteristics of the adjectival phrase, the researcher has adopted the descriptive method as requires by the nature of this study, the study has arrived at a number of important results: any word that cannot be substituted by another one, cannot be subjected to parsing.

The Holy Qur’an has revealed that the present simple tense which is considered as an adjectival phrase, will have different patterns (forms), it is either affirmative or negative.
